- 750m, 1.5k and 3k
OUR EVENTS ARE AIMED AT EVERYBODY. PLEASE DO NOT FEEL THAT YOU NEED TO TAKE PART IN THE MASS START - YOU CAN JUST USE THIS EVENT TO TimeURSwim AND SET OFF BEHIND THE OTHERS.
Please make sure that you fully understand all of our lakes rules and are familiar with the layout of the swim course. Lake rules and information are all available on our website www.sheppertonopenwaterswim.co.uk We would recommend that you come for a swim to familiarise yourself with the course prior to racing and normal swimming is allowed on race evenings so you are able to come early and have a warm up if you wish.
If you have not swum at our lake before then you must allow extra time to complete a health questionnaire and complete a swim test before you can take part. You can download the health questionnaire here and bring it with you already completed.
Race Cost: £20 for each distance (must be pre booked) There will be no late entries on the day. RACERS please note that registration closes half an hour before race start. If you would like your start time sent by SMS to your phone, please make sure you tick the box when you are registering and please remember to put all of your social networking details in so that we can tell people how you are doing.
Please make sure you enter and race the race distance that you want to compete in - changing any details on the night may not be possible and all changes will incur a £5 admin fee
Minimum age for swimmers is 16 years of age.
After the race there will be hot food (BBQ or Pasta normally - this will be confirmed nearer the time). Everyone is welcome. We have our chef come and cook for you all especially and anyone who has been before will tell you that it is great value for money. Food tickets cost £6 per head. If you would like to attend, please tick the box when registering and add any additional friends and family if required. (If its just you then put 1 ) so that our chef has an idea of the numbers that need to be catered for.
