DAMMED IF WE DONT
The primary object of the event is to raise money for the volunteer emergency services that attended the near collapse of Todbrook reservoir in August. Primarily the local Mountain Rescue teams and RNLI.
What we want you to do is visit 3 or 4 of the local dams, navigate your own way or join a running group led by a local runner. Run or walk. (You can cycle but not as part of the event, though donations are aways welcome)
Todbroook to see the damage from below.
Fernilee and Combs, and if you want to do a fourth- Errwood.
See what a good dam looks like and appreciate how much water would go crashing down the valley if the dam broke.
Registration: Goyt Inn, Bridge St, Whaley Bridge. SK23 7LR. (down the road opposite the Jodrell Arms).
Start: 9.00 – 11.00. Set off at any time between these times. If joining a group these will set off at 9.00, 10.00 and 11.00 places must be booked in advance.

Visit the checkpoint and get your card stamped at each of the dams and then return to the Goyt Inn. Choose your own route (unless going on a guided run). Cake and water will be provided at each checkpoint.
